The AR 10 style of rifles chambered in .308 Winchester can be very accurate rifles given the rifle is built with quality components and the right load is developed. I have found one such load for my Rock River Arms .308 with 20″ stainless heavy barrel suppressed. I was able to obtain the groups below at 100 yards. This is a good starting point for those seeking a load in .308 Winchester.
The load consisted of:
Lake City Once Fired Cases
Federal Gold Medal Match Primers
180 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip Bullets
43.5 grains of Varget Powder
The Bullets were sized to length so they just fit into the FAL magazine, and fed reliably.
